Service Description

Bottom Prep Level 4 is the ultimate bottom preparation service, designed for boats requiring a complete overhaul of their hull’s surface. This service involves thorough cleaning, aggressive sanding, and full removal of old antifouling paint, ensuring the hull is smooth and free of any remnants before applying a new antifouling coat. This level of preparation is crucial for boats with severely fouled hulls, thick layers of old paint, or those switching to a different type of antifouling paint. Due to the intensive nature of this service, environmental protections and permissions from the storage site are required. The process typically takes a minimum of 16 hours for a 30-foot boat. Tools used include industrial sanders, scrapers, and professional-grade dust collection systems to ensure safe and clean work.
